The very least Apple could do is to appologize for the delays. Yet, we ain't hearing nothing !

I thought people that have preordered them have recieved letters explaining and apologizing for the delays. There is a thread in this forum containing the letter one member recieved. The letter stated that due to overwhelming demand and trying to get the new machines to educational institutions (and I am guessing students) before the school year starts is a priority. I think this is a very reasonable and responsible explanation from Apple, although I can understand how one might be upset if one were not an edu student and needed the machine. I think it's good that Apple has had this incrediable respose to the new G5, it's too bad they are experiencing the same issues as they had with the new iMac when it was first release. I wonder if they thought the price points would limit initial demand. If so, then Apple underestimated the desire of it's Mac users to be on par and/or better then the current intel lot.

Actually, I'd like to see an apology from you for subjecting this forum to yet another ill-informed, irresponsible cry-baby thread.

EDIT: Oh, and if you're going to bitch and moan, it is my opinion that you should learn to spell correctly the words you're so angry about.

Because Apple are out to get YOU. Because they are mean. Because Steve Jobs enjoys ******* with Apple's customers. Because, as you implied in your other thread devoted to this critical issue, Apple doesn't care about customer satisfaction at all. Happy now?

Jesus christ, if you're not happy with your order, cancel it. But enough with the conspiracy theories already. Sometimes things don't go as planned, or hadn't you noticed?

Please, please, PLEASE realize that educational INSTITUTIONS are universities, high school and middle schools who are starting classes this week, or last. It is not snot-nosed eighth graders who are using their machines to play Quake. Education purchases for individual students will, I believe, wait in the same line as everyone else and just get the discount.

Because as others have pointed out the Apple Stores probably placed their orders first. Just because you can buy from Apple direct, doesn't make them any different from other manufacturers. They are going to feed the retail channel and if they sell direct they will do that simultaneously. In Apple's case, feeding the retail channel is more important because they own most of it.

This is how it worked with dualie's, the Al Books, and now the G5's. If you even just casually visit this forum, you already knew that so coming in here now and crying about it just pathetic.
