I say total bullshit.

If not though, and this guy really has his, boy am I gonna be pissed. Like many other Educational Institution, I've got multiple G5s on order, all first-day orders (CTO) and they've ALL slipped at least 10 days (according to my rep, who is 90% reliable). Not to mention - why didn't he report it when it SHIPPED? Hmm.

Grrrr....

I say total bullshit
from xlr8:
I asked Eric if he could send a photo of the internals/run some real-world tests. (All the dual G5 results I've seen were from pre-production systems - not an actual shipped model.) I know many are going to think this is report is a hoax after having their day 1 orders (even EDU/student orders) delayed. (Update - he has sent photos of the Dual G5, an Apple ASP report and is running tests.)
fix your bullshit detector.
yo frat boy. where's my tax cut.

We were told this:

XXXXXXXXX, from Apple called. He sends his apology for the delay in shipping the G5's. Expected ETA 3rd week of September to 1st week of October, 2003. If you have any questions, you can call XXXXXX at XXXXXXXXXX
sigh.

It's up again.

Oops. Spoke too soon. Connectivity is sporadic.

Stock. Ordered June 25 (I was #2 in line at Harvard).
Don't know what CTO means, so can't answer that one.

This is a big, very solid looking machine. Will boot it up as soon as I get my other work out of the way....
