I replaced a 128MB in my 12" PowerBook with 512MB stick. That left me with an extra 128MB stick.

Can I drop that into my 256MB eMac to up it to 384MB?

Can I drop that into my 128MB G3 iMac to up it to 256MB?

Nope. First, the PowerBook uses SO-DIMMs, which are physically smaller than the regular DIMMs in the eMac and slot-loading G3 iMacs.

Second, the PowerBook uses 266 MHz DDR RAM; the iMac uses standard PC100 RAM, the eMac PC133.

Sorry.
