My iPod 15GB (3rd G) hangs my Power Mac G4 (FW800)!! If the iPod is plugged into Power Mac for longer than a day, I will see a kernal panic! Dunno why! I can use the iPod normally... running iTunes... just if it stays plugged into Power Mac, my Power Mac will hang.

Please advice! Thanks!

Why is your iPod plugged into your PowerMac for an entire day? What I suppose is happening is that your Mac goes to sleep. iPods don't like being connected to Macs that go to sleep. It makes them and the PowerMacs behave a little strangely. Don't know why. I'd recommend disconnecting your iPod from your Mac when you're not there. Reinstall 2.0.1 on the iPod, fsck -y your Mac, and see how everything works. If you keep having problems with kernel panics, reinstall the OS.

Dude, my 15GB iPod does the SAME EXACT THING, except I have a Ti 667 DVI. You just did me a favor, and proved to me it's either the cable, dock, or iPod itself. Apple insisted I take it to a dealer to determine if it's the cable, but I didn't have a dealer willing to help around here. I'm calling Apple tomorrow and insisting they take the thing and either fix it or replace it. Cripes...
