Will iSight work on my iMac DV SE 500MHz with 384MB ram? Do I need more ram?
I know that I need to use iChatUSBCam to be able to use it at all, but I wonder if it's worth it? I will get my iSight soon, because I friend of mine is giving me one

It will work fine.. iChat is the application with the 600mhz limit.. Not the iSight camera.
I warn you though, Performance will be terrible if you do choose to use iChat with your iSight.. Slow refresh rates and a few spinning beach balls here and there will be common.

The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.

Ummm, actually it's going to be A LOT worse than that. I tried it with an iBook 500MHz, and it completely locked down iChat, and had to force quit out. Believe me, when Apple says that there's a 600MHz limit, they really do mean it on this one.

Could I be this guy's friend, too?
Giving one away?! That's USD$150! Come ON!
Seriously, why would he do that?
