the modem and superdrive. Also, from looking at the MacRumors and SpyMac forums this morning it appears that a massive shipment occurred yesterday. many people are reporting recieving confimration yesterday and this morning.

Apple is really begening to piss me off. I ordered in July and I'm going to have to wait until October 9th... I have the same config as you... this is just stupid. Congrats though, hope you enjoy it.

I wonder did you have a 250 gig hd? I'm not sure but it may very well be the hold up on a lot of systems. i just ordered on the 16th and it will not be here till OCt 22

The two 23" lcd's I order have slipped from the 16 to the 19th making my overnight shipping on the displays worth less. I won't get them till monday.

I Ordered my CTO (9800, W/ BT) on 8/19 and there is no sign of movement; My order status page says 10/14. I wonder what the explantion is for this degree of inconsistency. Its really bad form on Apple's part. Not that it matters, but My order was also educational. Anyhow, enjoy your new beast, and run a Radial zoom blur for me.

Does anyone know what number to call to inquiry about building/shipping status? I don't want to call, and have them look at the same page I do and say they don't have any information. A lot of threads report that the Apple folks can determine if the order is in the factory, etc. Do I call the standard store number?

I ordered my dual on 6/24 at 9:15am. CTO - BT/9800/250mb. I'm glad you got yours but it is annoying to know that people who ordered more than two months after I did are getting theirs before me.

Yeah, I ordered mine on 6/24 at 7:11am, nothing here either.

Catullus didn't say if his was a dual or not.

I ordered a dual CTO (9800, BT) from the Edu page on 8/22. Presently listed as shipping OOB 10/16 (we'll see how long until it's pushed back another three weeks).

If I find my two Apple Stores getting stock dualies in before my CTO ships, I may-no, will-just cancel my order and buy a stock machine. I can do without the Bluetooth module (don't actually have a use for it at the moment, but since you can't add an internal module after-the-fact, I bought it - only an extra $45), and I can always add a retail Radeon 9800 later if I choose (see xlr8yourmac.com for a discussion regarding the retail 9800 in a G5).
