hi
i have a new televio tv tuner card but it does not have video out so i cant connect it to a tv.

i have a dual 533 .

does anyone know a good cheap way to get video to a tv?
any tricks?

i know the new powermac g5 has an adapter for the dvi port that gives u svideo out and composite out ports.
its 19$ and DVI to Video Adapter

The Apple DVI to Video Adapter was designed specifically to allow Power Mac G5 systems users to connect from the DVI port to S-video or Composite video devices such as TVs, VCRs, or overhead projectors with S-Video or RCA (Composite) connectors. The Apple DVI to Video Adapter is designed to work with the DVI port on the Power Mac G5 system only.

Use a separate DVI to VGA Adapter for VGA video out for Power Mac G5 (included with all Power Mac G5 systems or available for order as a standalone kit).

Important:
Requires Power Mac G5 with DVI port.
only works on the g5

Two options:

1):
- PCI graphics card with video output (e.g. Radeon 7000) to work alongside your existing card

-AGP graphics card with video output to replace your current card (e.g. Radeon 9000)

2)
-VGA -> video scan converter

Both options cost about the same ($100-$200). 1) gives you the option to have dual displays, with the TV being one of them. The scan converter mirrors your display.

I can't stress this enough but if you're going to go the method of RCA out PLEASE get a second video card unless it's not an option.

Believe me you'll regret those damn external boxes in the future.
Aloha
