Hi. My mobo didn't come with a PRAM battery installed. I did some googling and Apple support searches, and its a 3.6V 850 mAh lithium battery. Is this a standard type that I can pick up at a local shop, or does Apples use some proprietary/non-standard type?

It's a standard 2/3 AA Lithium computer battery, available at electronics and computer stores. Of course, I'd sooner tell you to order one from Other World (www.macsales.com) than Radio Shack, since they'll get you a top-notch batter for cheap.
