Hi everyone,

got the new iMac today. This machine is amazing. It's fast, quiet and has a good performing graphics card. But the best thing is that it comes with a Sony-Multi DVD-Burner. I tried to burn a DVD+RW and DVD+R with Toast and guess what: it worked great!! So the firmware in the new revision does not seem to be crippled anymore. Of course DVD-R/DVD-RW works, too.
DVD+R in Discburner is lacking, but I am sure it will arrive in Panther.

Please can you post which Sony DVD burner it is ? (as displayed in Toast, bottom of the main window)

Can you indeed mention the type of the drive and the firmware version? I have a 1 Ghz iMAc and a Sony drive with firmware A13b which is crippled :-(
