We have a client who purchased a 1Ghz eMac with a Superdrive, which will only boot OS X. She needs it to boot directly into OS 9. Classic under OS X is not an option, we've already suggested it and she shot it down. It's in a lab full of older OS 9 booting eMacs and she wants them to be standardized.
I know some people have figured out ways to alter the Open Firmware in other machines that were locked to only boot in OS X, has anyone figured a way to do this with the 1Ghz eMac with a Superdrive (which is the only eMac that won't boot into OS 9)? The only difference between the 3 current eMacs is that one has a Superdrive and won't boot OS 9, while the other two boot OS 9 and have either a CD or a CDRW drive.
thanks!
