I just picked up a Dual Gig MDD from the apple store (for $1099, no less) and can't find any info regarding the power supply swap Apple had going for the MDD Power Macs. Does anyone know where the specific info is??

Thanks

Kevin

the offer ended back in June. details here: https://depot.info.apple.com/generic/index.html

You might want to call apple, and see if you can sweet talk them into sending you one anyway.

Also check your the sticker on your power supply, if it's 350W then you already have the updated PS.

If you just bought it they should have already replaced the fan for you. IF it is not REALLY loud then dont' worry about it.

"Hello, what have we here?

The power supply exchange programme ended at the end of June or so... The MDDs released in January this year (FW800, Airport Extreme) had the fix built-in, but since Apple reverted back to the older revision (to retain OS 9 bootability), who knows. I'd expect that it is indeed fixed, though.
