I have been unsuccessful installing Palm Hotsync on my G5 (Dual 2.0, 2.5gb RAM).

I always get the error "incomplete installation".

At first, I got an error saying that the computer did not have 1024 memory. Someone told me to REDUCE RAM below 2gb. I did this twice taking ram down to 512mb. Still get the same error. (But the memory comment no longer appears.)

The app Palm Desktop will open up OK. However, the Palm apps I really want are related to Hotsync. If I launch hotsync manager, I get an error message that says there is a "shared library" error and always refers a file called hotsynclib.ppc. This file must either be invisible or part of the "incomplete installation" because I can't find it anywhere.

I have tried deleting all files related to Palm or conduit in the system/library/application support folder ,etc. but still have the same problem on re-installing the Palm sw.

Also tried re-downloading from Palm but same problem.

Anyone else with this problem?
