Ok, I just got my brand new Dual G5 today, with the Radeon 9800 Pro. So I go and download the new drivers that allow one to do FSAA, and all that other nice stuff. Install, and the Control Panel it installed says "Uknown ATI Graphics" at the top of the window of the little Application it launches...Why is it saying this...? I want to be able to use the OpenGL overrides, but the window just has 3 tabs. What's going on here?

Did you order the OEM 9800 with your G5? The drivers only work on the retail version not the one from Apple. I hope ATI allows them to work on the nearly identical OEM version in the near future but there is no guarantee.

Yea, it's the OEM version. Since it's hooked up to the Apple Cinema Display. Damn that sucks...the only difference is the type of connection.

The OEM version is also an 8x card.

Yes, the OEM is 8x AGP (almost zero difference in performance from a 4x), has and ADC in lieu of the VGA (both have DVI) and the retail has S-video out as well I think (but the OEM can use the Apple G5 DVI to video Adapter for only $19). The OEM is also very slightly lower clocked than the retail for some strange reason.
I ordered the OEM with my dual G5 back in June and was excited to use the ATI gl overrides but in my excitement I didn't realize till later that ATI wouldn't support the OEM card. It's my fault as ATI never said they would support the OEM in such a away but I read something somewhere that ATI may actually support the OEM in a future release but no promises.

One other difference, the OEM 9800 is an AGP Pro card, pulling extra power via the slot. The retail card requires an extra power cable to be attached to the video card.
