I currently own a 900 ibook with 60gb hard drive. I have the opportunity to buy an old imac 400mhz with 512ram and 80gb harddrive, would this be able to handle being run as a media center, I have 25gbs of mp3s which I want to move off my ibook and onto the imac and play them from itunes on that, i will then be connecting my ipod to that. i know i could just use my ipod as an external hard drive but i don't want to have to manualy update my ipod the whole time. I would also be moving all my video files off my ibook and onto the imac.
Would i then be able to connect the 2 via airport and sync folders of work from my ibook onto the imac on a regular basis?
Could i use itunes shared music feature and play the music off the imac on my ibook around the house.
I hope this makes some kind of sense...
