The following is true....
So, my old B & W G3 of late has been in a terrible mess. Crashing 3 or 4 times a day and even corrupting important data. I was in serious need of a new computer. I had been looking at some referbs, etc. But, honestly, I just didn't have the money.
So, yesterday, I am working on my trusty old Mac hoping to get this last little bit done before it went tits-up again and I had to reboot, when the door bell rings....
It's the FedEx guy. "I haven't order anything", I say a little annoyed. "We just moved here".
"If you are Seth Neal then I have a package you gotta take,” he retorts.
So I sign and he goes into his truck and walks out with a brand new $2000 G5. I about $%!+ myself.
"I didn't order this..."
"It's addressed to you..."
He leaves and I haven't left the office since.
Well, I did go down to Circuit City and get a memory upgrade.
Man, this is awesome. And thanks to whoever out there sent this to me... I don't deserve it...

As much as you might hate to do it, ask your next-door neighbours if they ordered a G5. Mac users still aren't too common... but you never know.
And if none of them ordered a G5? Enjoy your system... just hope that there isn't someone out there wondering why their G5 never showed up!

Don't get too attached to it. When whoever ordered it doesn't get it or pay they will be back.

Maybe you did order it and just forget since it took Apple so long to ship it.

Do you know any ugly chicks who want to date you that would buy you a G5? Maybe you shut them down when they asked you out and they heard you bitching about your computer... so they sold thier car to get you this mac???? just a thought

...or maybe someone has your credit card number. You'll be paying for it eventually.

Are you sure you or someone else, on your computer, weren't on the Apple store admiring the G5 with one-click enabled? I would call your credit card company and/or Apple to see who paid for it. If it is delivered to you in your name they won't have to work very hard to find who received it. You may also want to hold off on registering it too

You'd think they would ship it to themselves then.

Yes! Apple patent this brain wave reading technology. If you go to Apple's online store and have a strong enough desire for a product, it automatically orders that item for you. I've been developing this for Apple for the past 3 years. It's pretty cool stuff. Apple is tired of paying royalities to Amazon for the 1-click ordering system, so we are implementing the 0-click ordering system.
