When I was in the world of OS9, I always had an emergency bootable CD with both DiskWarrior and Tech Tool Pro in it for...um...emergencies. However, I found that I generally relied on DiskWarrior to resolve any problems I was having.

Now that I'm using OSX in my 17"FP, I've got DiskWarrior. My question is, is there really a need for me to get Drive 10 as well? For instance, Drive 10 optimizes the drive, whereas DiskWarrior doers not. But how defraged does an OSX drive get anyway?

Could I not get the same affect by occasionally running fsck? If there is an actual benefit of getting Drive 10, then I can see spending the extra cash, but if it's just something that'll sit there, then I'd rather not go that route.

Anyone out there with any personal experience?

You'd have a better chance of getting meaningful replies if you posted this in the Software forum. But they'd probably just tell you to do a search, because there's already many threads over there on this topic, including this one.
