I ordered 7/1, ETA is 10/14.

I am curious if anyone else is approaching the 100 day mark.

I placed an ADC order on 8/27 (in place of a retail order placed 6/27). Estimated ship date is this Thursday, 10/9. The charge showed up on my credit card today; no movement on the Order Status page.

My order is from 7/30 and scheduled to ship 10/9. Ironic compare to the message that started this thread.

I love Apple, but I believe the abandoning of "First come, first serve" to be a big mistake.

Unless you know it's shipping FedEx,the ship date may not mean much.

My dual G5 was confirmed shipped 10 days ago, but there's no sign of it yet, no ETA, and no way to track where it is (just somewhere between Asia and North America).

It was the fastest personal computer availble when I ordered it, still was when they shipped it, but I'm not placing bets on whether that will still be the case when it actually gets here!

I ordered from macmall on 9/4 and it arrived on 9/29. Booting up in open firmware showed that compuer was born on 9/15.

I ordered my Dual (CTO) at a local reseller, early july, in the Netherlands.
Without the modem, with the 9800Pro and 2.5Gig ram.
They got it today, so I can say it's here before the weekend.

Still a three months wait. But bearing in mind I ordered through the "resellers channel", pretty neat

i wonder where the first big batch of dualies was manufactured? i thought all of them were from overseas, but i think a lot of people had shipping bills from sacramento.

if so, perhaps this explains some of the delay.. perhaps someone more in tune with apple manufacturing might know.

of course, maybe yours was intercepted in transit to be updated to panther...?
