Just Got off the phone with Apple to find out why my machine is still in manufacturing after being there 10 days now. I am due to have this shipped on or before 10-14( a date that looks like they will miss). Customer service had nothing they could tell me and they refused to give me the name or number of anyone I could talk to to find out what was going on.
I have been bumped once already and refuse to accept another one while people are getting machines early - or have had ordered them way later than myself - and have already received them . There is a Major problem with Apple. They refuse to admit it , but most of us here waiting for our G5's know this. If I didnt need this machine for a development solution I am working on for my place of employment, I would tell Apple to put it where the sun doesn't shine. This is unacceptable on any level. Apple claims to care about loyal customers, but in the end they could care less. We are all just numbers(read $$$$) to them.
In the furure I will rethink my support of this platform. Maybe if others did too then apple would get its house in order and take care of its customers.

Cancel your order, then go pick one up at a retailer.
