I have wanted to upgrade to OS X for a while now, and with panther i was hoping that it would finally run acceptably on my rev.C iMac, i have 160mb of Ram and upgraded the harddrive to 40gb@7200rpm. Has anyone run panther on a similar setup, and how was the performance for simple things like surfing the web and listening to music?
My cat's breath smells like cat food.

Just get more ram and go for it. It'll be fine for music and web surfing.

Running 7B85 on a Rev. A 233. 256MB Ram, 7200RPM drive. It does OK for general use.
