does anyone know how much these things cost to run this thing 24/7 and any figures for f@h i would try to work them out myself but im bad at that sort of thing

no i run folding at home and want to know the increase in cost and increase in power usage because i might hook it up to a solar panel or something

Check out this thread in which Hydra discusses power usage. I think he says the G5 dual power supply is rated at 600W but that the typical draw is much less than that.

I saw a year ago that on average running your computer 24/7 costs about $350 a year in electricity.
