I keep getting freezes on my iMac. Ususlly it occurs after I experience some "stickiness" with the cursor.

I've:
1) Zapped the pram
2) re-installed both systems (OS 9.2.2 and OS 10)
3) Changed the mouse
4) Changed the keyboard
Perhaps the error code that comes up on OS 10 after a freeze offers a clue? Unfortunately, I cannot understand it. Can anybody kindly throw some light on this?

The error code that comes up is:

Unresolved kernel trap(cpu 0): )x300 - Data access DAR=)x00000000 PC=0x0df70cd8

It's called a "kernel panic."

They have many causes, and I can't decipher the log, but if you try posting this in the OS X forum they might be of more help.

Also, tell them what version of OS X you're using.

Thanks casecom. I'll try the OS 10 forum.

BTW my OS 10 version is (10.1.2 - build 5P63).

Another thought is that It maybe happening after the machine has warmed up. First thing, it runs for half an hour or so before freezing but on restarts the freezing happens in just a few minutes (independent of what program is running). Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem?
