A guy brought an iMac back that he took home to test out, and it is acting all crazy.

At first I loaded the system (had 10.2.6) and after about 5 minutes of use, it started to act like it was powering down (the spinning status thing)

I backed up all the important stuff on the drive and went to reinstall the OS. Install was freezing up about 21% through.

I decided to run Norton 7 on it and it told me it couldnt repair my drive because of unrecoverable errors. great.

Next, how about target disk mode to format and zero the drive.

After that I decided to try and install from the nice new panther cds I got in the mail. Still no luck getting an OS installed, so I am at a loss.

I think the drive is dying, but I want to try every last thing I can before I ship it off. Any help?
