Just wondering here.

On my dual G5 with a Radeon 9800, whenever the machine is performing a graphic operation that seems to involve GPU acceleration (fast user switch animation, the dock appearing/diappearing when login/logout, Expose, dragging a window), I hear a very faint electronic noise (for lack of a better term).

This isn't terribly bothersome, but it's noticeable in a small room. Is this common?

Also, search for "chirp". This has been covered many times. There is a solution in the other threads.
