Just after three days and just transfering my stuff over, my G5 died. Apple can't do anything until monday. To find that out, I had to visit my apple store and call five different numbers.
Menwhile I have a now acting up iMac that i can't restore until I have a place to back stuff up.

Apple needs to work on there customer service.

They couldn't do anything at the Apple Store? Or they wouldn't?

What happened to the machine anyway?

I've never had to deal with their customer support so I can't say how good or bad they are.

Just guessing, but did it just fail to start from a cold boot?

A few G5s have had this problem, including one of ours at work. There is some discussion of ways to remedy this over at macfixit.com. The only thing we found that would boot ours was starting up in single user mode, running fsck, and typing reboot.

While my own personal experiences with Apple service have been very positive, I would not expect them to be able to fix a problem on a weekend.

Perhaps, however, if you are more specific with your problem, we can try to help.
