I have this pci Adaptec card(ADPT,1757800-00/scsi-2/PCI), is there a firmware update for this? I can not seem to locate the last or latest firmware for this card on their site? Can someone lead me? Thanks

I was in the same boat as you about a month ago. I searched on google for 2940U2B firmware upgrade. I found a random site that had a bunch of shareware on it still had the update. I needed it so that I could boot a drive off the card. Once I loaded the update it worked great. The updates on their site don't work correctly, not really sure why. I will dig around on my hard drive to see if I have it. I have a suspicion that it was deleted recently when I installed OpenBSD on that HD. I will check for you though. Best of luck, took me about 2 hours of googling, but I finally got my answer.

Your best bet is to find the name of the firmware update you want then google for that.

This should do it for you. If I remember right I used this one and it worked as far as 10.2. I haven't tried it with 10.3 since I don't use the card anymore.

UPDATE: Okay, I just noticed that you wanted the Adaptec version, no the Apple, maybe this one will still work???????
