Hi all,
I just got a 15" iMac yesterday. I didn't want to pay Apple Store prices for RAM (ouch!) so I went to CC and picked up 512MB for $102. I installed the RAM without turning on the machine first. It booted fine, and I went to install Panther Server on it. During the install, the machine kernel panicked. I removed the RAM and it was all better. Anyone know why this particular PC2700 RAM won't work with the iMac, when they're supposed to be compatable?

Mike
