We have a 512MB high-density (4x64) PC133 RAM. I just found out that it doesn't work on the PCI G4 which my boss has (oops!) so we're thinking of taking out the 256MB in the iRack (iMac DV SE) and puting that in my boss' computer, and puting the 512MB SDRAM in the iMac.

I can't find any information regarding the iMac DV SE and using high-density RAM in it.

The best I can find is "any Macintosh built after 2000" and "There is no real Mac answer to that question. It will take any 168-pin 3.3v
PC-100 or PC-133 SDRAM. JEDEC specs are different for Mac and PC."

iMac DV SE came out in November of 2000, so I'm not sure if that qualifies for the "after 2000" requirement.

I don't believe there is a single mac out there that can use high density ram. Bummer, as the chips are much cheaper (1/2 the cost!) then low density memory.

But to answer your question, I have tried High Density Ram on that machine (and a quicksilver DP800) and it was a no go. Not recognized.
