Does anyone have any recommendations regarding the prefered backup solution for the Apple Xserver e.g. external tape drives or removable hard drives?

Also can anyone recommend a robust email exchange solution for both the server and client machines?

Dont want to sound stupid, but not too sure what to choose ...
