How difficult is it to self-install additional RAM in an LCD iMac? I am interested, with the release of the 20Inch version, to buy one for my wife, but the cost of RAM from the Apple store is unjustifiably expensive - but I'm wondering with these things, how difficult it is to install. In a normal deskop you just flip off the cover and away you go, but I'm concerned that in a machine like the iMac, it's not that clear-cut.

Anyone have some personal experience?

Yep, there are two ram slots in the iMac. One is user accessable and the other is not. If you want a lot of RAM, you should order a unit from Apple with a big chip in the first slot because you can't get to it without considerable difficulty. The second slot is as simple as turning the iMac on its side and loosening four screws. Check out availability and prices of memory for that second slot to determine if you want Apple to install a bigger than stock module in the first slot when you buy the computer.
