i don't buy it...a dual 1.25 g4 in an emac when the new imacs are only 1.25??? doesnt make any sense to me.

no way in hell. how is apple suppossed to put a second cpu in these machines and cut prices and make a profit? Assuming they have 25% margins on these things already (considering their relatively low price), that would mean a $800 dollar emac costs apple $600 to make. This rumor has apple sticking another processor in there (has to cost aleast $100 just for the processor) and then dropping the price $100 to boot. there is not way this Apple Computer, under mr. jobs, would ever do that.
If you want to make the machine more powerful, it makes much more sense to put a single g5 in there rather than having to buy two g4s and then deal with the extra design complexity of two processors. this is the most bulldonkey doo rummor i've heard in a while.

It does seem to good to be true but there are rumors of the powerbooks going dual before they go G5.

See, it's a humourous part of Low End Mac. In it, rumours are written to be funny, not believable. It does not take itself seriously, so neither should anyone else. It kind of baffles me that anyone did.
