I was cleaning off my desk today and rerouting cables. I spaced out for a second, and next thing i knew, the cord for my speakers (mini jack, not Optical) had brushed up against the airport antenna jack. The speakers let out a loud buzz. It was only in contact with the plug for about 1.2 seconds. Is there any possibility that I could have damaged any components? (Also, I DO NOT have an airport card installed, so the jack was not connected to anything)

Nah. That my friend is direct electrical interference hitting your speakers. If you are using powered speakers, turn up the volume and tap the plug against your finger or hand.. and you'll get a similar.. alas much quieter buzz.

Don't worry. Unless your situation is a very rare one nothing should have been damaged at all

If you speakers still sound fine, you probably didn't damage anything.

Consider yourself lucky! Had the two been in contact with each other for 1.4 seconds, Your Mac and your speakers would have simultaneously exploded and the resulting shrapnel would have caused serious injury to your neighbor's Grandmother.

Seriously though, it's highly unlikely that you damaged anything.
