I am looking to upgrade my hard drive. Not concerned about violating the warranty and I have years of experience putting together my own WinTel clones.

Does anyone have any links, pictures, instructions or experiences they could share with me before I attempt this?

Thanks in advance!

PS: yes I have searched these forums and using google. nothing.

Did you seriously think I had not already searched and found those threads with "dead" and "non-existent" links and references?

Every one of those threads was useless. Although, one user did enter a few paragraphs of good information but not exactly what I was looking for.

Every website in those threads was dead and the Apple FTP site has been gone for some time. And those threads were very old.

I appreciate your effort, but I am still without the information I need. Surely someone has taken apart their iMac and upgraded the hard drive and has pictures to show for it.......somewhere on the Internet.

This one works fine for me. I've pointed people there before, including in the top link in my above post. Or maybe it didn't meet your stringent standards for usefulness?

CaseCom, you rule!

Thanks for "active" link. This one worked great.

It was just what I was looking for too.

Again, thanks for the help.

Did I miss something? The first link takes you to the XLR8yourmac site that you need.
Yes, I know I could buy a PC, but why?
