I already did a search on this, but I want to make sure I have my info correct.

I have 2 IDE drives in my 933 right now, so Im currently maxed out right ?

If Id like to add another drive I have to purchase a PCI , ATA controller card. Is this correct ?

Where do people put these extra drives ? Do they purchase a Hard drive sled, and mount it inside the machine ? Do they put it on top of the other drives ?

Also, If I want one of those 250 gig drives, I have to have a ATA 133 controller, because the internal setup will only recognize up to 137 gig, correct ?

Get a Sonnet Tempo card and you can add two drives (for a total of four) along the base of the 933 case. The problem of extending power from the optical drive area to the floor is solved with a quick visit to RadioShack.

The Sonnet Tempo also enables drives of any size.

I was checking that sonnet tempo out, and I saw another card, a SIIG Ultra ATA/133 PCI, which looked to be the same thing, but it was 20 dollars cheaper.

Anybody got any experience with that one ?

What makes the sonnet better than that one ?

And the two new drives would be both powered from the optical drive ? (if i understood correctly)

thanks

I have the SIIG RAID card in my DP/800. The drives drives are mounted side-by-side on the floor of the tower where SCSI drives are to be mounted.

My card came with a power cable splitter for the two drives. Haven't had a problem at all.
I am stupidest when I try to be funny.
