I've read the directions, but for some reason, it's very difficult ton de-install my combo drive. I want to swap it out for my Super drive. I have released the 2 tabs, unhooked the IDE cable from the mobo, and tried to slide the drive out, but it doesn't budge. Anybody have any luck removing the drive?

And yes, I've checked at xlr8yourmac. Only 2 entries there. Hoping to get a wider response here.

Thanks....

Ensure that the two tabs are completely turned to the release position (you should be able to see the standoffs on the bottom of the drive and where they will move out of the tabs).

Then do as Apple says, reach around the back and push on the drive, it does take some force to move it to start with, but once it's free you should be OK.
