Is it possible to connect a 17'' or 20'' iMac to a Playstation 2 to use that screen instead of an ordinary TV? (I want to buy a new mac and thought i might get rid of my old, lousy and bulky TV at the same time) Unfortunately EyeTV Special Edition 2 doesn't work because of the 2 sec delay.

I can connect my GameCube through S-Video in my Sony TRV-120 Digital8 camcorder to my Mac and use BTV-Pro's DV capture window in full screen and the visual quality is as good as it can get... although there is a slight delay. A direct digital connection would be preferable but it's not going to happen on an iMac.

Hi, I am sorry to bump such an old thread, however this is exactly my question and was wondering if there are another solutions out there? I have the new intel imac (20"). Would the s-video monitor connector work or is that only to send signals to the TV and not vice-versa? Im trying to connect my ps2 to it.

what brad said.
I'm seriously considering an EyeTV EZ to watch broadcast TV on my 17" imac in my college dorm room.

There is absolutely no f*cking way to use the display on an all-in-one LCD imac (G4, G5, Intel) without going through some kind of USB or FW converter. No one has ever done it.
It's also never been done for any notebook.
Prove me wrong and post a link if you ever find a solution.

The EyeTV EZ product page claims there is no delay and specifically mentions using it to play video games. I've used my iMac Core Duo to play XBox through my DV camcorder and if there is a delay there, it is very slight. It wasn't noticable to me...
The EyeTV would be better, but it's $150.
