I am interested in adding another Firewire Bus to my G5 Dual, I would prefer to add a Firewire PCI card, because I would rather not deal with a Hub or anything external.

My question is if anybody could point me towards a card that adds at least 1 Firewire 400 port and also fully supports deep sleep in the G5? Thanks.

I don't really care what other ports it adds, but obviously would prefer modern ports (USB2 or FW800).

Thanks,
Mike

I was thinking the same way as you but I settled on a firewire hub and I am really happy with it.

No need for PCI-X, since PCI cards will work.

Ok, I get now that any 3.3V card will work, but what about the Deep Sleep issue?, I'd hate to lose Deep Sleep.

Thanks,
Mike
