I'm using the latest firmware for my Pioneer A05 with my G5 (1.33), but it can't read DVD RW discs... can anyone help me ?

I'm confused...I have a G5 and I was under the belief that they all shipped with Sony drives???? I may be wrong though, so take my comment with a grain of salt. Have you tried a different manufacturers media? My g5 does Memorex DVD-RW's with no issue....

I bought my drive seperately, actually, I think it's because I was using "+" discs the guy from xlr8yourmac told me...

no prob. I just sold one of the guys I work with a 10 pack of +r's because I bought them on accident...

FYI - My dual G5 has a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR 106D.
