Hey all...
I sold my G4 Cube for cash in anticipation of even more cash in the form of 2 paychecks + Christmas money. I am debating between a G5 1.6 and a 12" PB. For the G5, I'd just buy a sub-200 LCD. I already have a FW DVD+-RW drive. I'd like a Dualie G5 or better PB, but I am limited on budget, and want something semi-pro.
Would I be better off to wait for MWSF? I'd just hate to have to wait until March to get something awesome shipped for similiar costs...I'm inpatient lol
Thanks for your input!

Wait.
While you may have to wait for the NEW stuff, the old stuff's price will drop...

If you need something right now, buy what you can afford and be happy that you have a new toy.

The thing to remember is just because something is introduced at MWSF, doesn't necessarily mean it will ship anytime soon. Typically speed bumps hit the streets pretty quick, but you never know with wacky Apple.

What chrisutley said.
If you can afford to wait, I don't think it will hurt you to see what is introduced. If you find that the new macs aren't what you need, the go buy a now discounted older model. Unless you have a dire need I would say wait until MWSF just to see what's unveiled before you make your decision. But as mentioned, just b/c it's announced doesn't mean it'll ship soon (says the man who ordered his G5 in May and had to wait until October to pick it up).
