Whenever I move the screen on my 15inch iMac the whole thing just shuts down. Restarting takes ages.

This is not right - surely? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas what it might be and how I get it sorted? Thanks.

you really need to take this back and get it sorted.
Not only do you risk losing some files but you could have a good chance of it shorting out somewhere and the metal becoming live!

yes - it's going back to the reseller after Christmas. Today it shut itself off again after I moved the actual dome base to access a port at the back.

I wonder if the power cable came loose - it doesn't seem to lock into place back there very easily.
