OK, so check this out. I pic up a PCI Firewire/USB2.0 card. I go to install it in the G5, and it wont click in. WTF. I look down to see that there is a little plastic area in the G5 slot which prevent my from putting this card in there.
What am I supposed to do here? Is the card defective? If I scoot it back about 1/2 inch it fits fine, but wont seat because it would be poking my motherboard.
Cheers,
Kris

Hi!
Even the 1.6 GHz model only supports 3,3V PCI cards (according to German magazine "MacUP").

That's right, the G5 only supports 3.3V PCI cards, the old obsolete 5V PCI cards actually should have ceased to exist a long time ago.
However that does look a bit weird, are you sure this is a standard PCI card? All the PCI cards I have lying around here would perfectly fit since every PCI slot has this "little plastic area". Where did you get that PCI card anyway?

Looks like an ACR card to me.
Can you post a picture of the full card?
