Hey guys I was wondering now that the prices have dropped on the 1.6 G5's do you think now is a good time to buy. Do you think the price will go down any further after mwsf?

I think the only answer is: how quickly and urgently do you need/want the machine. The price will certainly not go up and certainly will go down, over the next few weeks/months. If you’ll be upset that you could have gotten the machine for less or more machine for the same amount of money in a month or so, then wait. If that won’t upset you, go ahead.

Unless you have an immediate need (like, need it by tomorrow) I'd wait a few weeks to see what's revealed at MWSF. If speed-bumped G5s are introduced, the price will only go down further.

Although I have to ask: why the 1.6? I've consistently read that the minimum you should consider is the dual 1.8...

I'd love to get a dual but it doesn't fit into my budget. How much do you think the price will go down on refurbs once the new ones are released.
