I'm going to buy a new eMac 'cause my Ti Powerbook G4 550 just left me(VERY bad damage, will change every thing except LCD to get 'her' fixed, and for 'lucky', I dont have a AppleCare plan ). I also heard some rumors about the revision eMac will come out after MWSF, but no one sure about that. For me, eMac almost the best Mac of all Macs, the price, the speed and everything execpt some disappointed on USB and RAM. So, should I wait till MWSF or go out get one now?
Btw, can I adjust the display area/position of eMac's monitor like all CRT monitors does?
Any advice will be helpful.
Thanks a lot.
Steven

I'd say wait until MWSF. It's just a couple weeks away so there's no point in not waiting, as I see it.
I had an eMac for a while. It wasn't the right machine for me and I ended up selling it pretty quick, but I did like it. It was fast, compact (compared to a desktop + monitor), heavy, sturdy, and pretty cool-looking. It ran a number of games really well. UT 2003 ran as well as on a fairly fast PC - 800x600 at a very playable 40 fps.
If you get one, make sure you get a 512 MB DIMM, the tilt and swivel stand (heavy to move the thing but it's very smooth considering the weight), and the 80 GB hard drive upgrade. They don't tell you this, but the 40 GB hard drive is a 5400 RPM one, which will give you noticeably slower performance than a 7200 RPM drive. The 80 GB drive provides a decent amount of storage as well as a good speed, for just $50 extra, so go for that.
I consider the eMac to be an excellent value. The Combo drive version is very inexpensive for what you get - a fast processor and graphics card, all the ports you need, a decent built in monitor (not the best but it's okay), and Panther.

Thank you for the info and advice, I think I should wait untill MWSF, maybe thr revision eMac or G5 Cube (I love Cube BADLY) will be announced.
And I got another question: Can I adjust the H/V. Postition/Size of eMac monitor's display area?

The current eMacs shipped with dodgy/el cheapo monitors too (brown tint down left side; blue blotches down right and generally uneven display). Lovely 17" 1280x960 area and very bright but relatively low quality albeit fitting a budget machine. I'd see what Xmas SF brings

Hmm, never had any problems with the monitor.
Its a cheap mac all around. If you can afford an iMac go for it, if not the emac is a great inexpensive mac.

Yes you can adjust the monitor. Use the Displays System Preference.
