So I have a Lucent Wavelan card and I decided to try it in the internal Airport slot in my QS. It works great im using it to get online as we speak. The problem is I can close the case becuse of the extra length of the card vs. An AirPort card.. Has anyone here tried to modify a Wavelan card to fit? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you can snap the plastic part off and plug the internal antenna in.

If anything you might have to pull the card apart  your mileage may vary.

That won't work - and I know 'cause I tried. The card actually extends into the black antenna part. Prying the black part off will only result in an exposed board. I had to scrap the idea of putting the spare Wavelan card my old Quicksilver. It now rests very snugly inside an iMacDV that I had to modify.

Thanks guys.... I might grab the good ole tin snips and cut the case a little, but I'll prolly just swap it for a real airport card.
