Hi

Anyone had problems connecting a TFT monitor to a G5 with an nVidea card. My iiyama doesnt get recognised on boot up so doesn't start. Have to unplug and plug back in....

Got an £800 monitor here that doesn't work with a G5. Whos fault is it? iiYama says it is Apples drivers, but box says works with all Apple Macs....

Got a few dead pixels as well

There's a fault with some G5s (with 9600s, though, AFAIK) that has something to do with displays, I think. Have you tried searching on Apple's site?

I can't think of any reason why it would be the G5 misbehaving, though. Does it do the same on any other machine you can test it on? Another Mac'd be good...

I've had no trouble with my G5 and my Dell display. Gorgeous picture and nary a bad pixel...

I've never heard of any probs with third party DVI monitors; sounds like the Mac ATI Rad9600 black screen bug might be to blame (apple will replace the acrd if it is).
Check your monitor with another mac and yor Mac with another monitor if you can.
