They'll probably change it soon enough, but check the front of Apple Canada's site and look at blurb for the Xserve G5. Apparently we Canadians deserve 300 MHz more in our servers, compared to you US imperialist dogs.

Unfortunately, if you click the link itself you find that you're getting 2 GHz like anyone else. But it's interesting to note that this error doesn't show on the American site (which should be able to use the same image). You'd think they'd duplicate each other when possible.

Last year you guys would have gotten 3 GHz, but the US dollar is in the tank!

Actually the weak dollar makes America stronger at exporting... people here in the U.K. are in a frenzy importing stuff from the USA while the dollar is at a 6 year low against the pound.

Today's exchange rate is: 1 EUR = 1.2630 US$

Price of a G5 in
Apple Store US = $1799.00US = 1423 EUR
Apple Store in Germany = $2490US = 1970.84 EUR

How can you justify the $700 difference in price in the 2 country.

Even before VAT of 16%, the German price is still: 1698 EUR (2149$).

That's 300$ difference. Shipping cannot be that much.
