Hi all,
i have an 800MHz 60gig 15" flat panel iMac running OS 10.3.1 that i bought a few months after they were released. before i upgraded to 10.3 i noticed the mac was slowing down loads when i did even simple things like opening apps which is mainly why i upgraded.

I also bought an additional 512 ram for it to add to the base 256. The day before i installed the ram i ran XBench just for the fun of it and got 3 scores of 77.xx. but as soon as the ram was installed the computers performance dropped even more and XBench was giving back scores of between 43 and 56. whats happened!!?? i thought upgrading the ram was suppose to help!!

Apps dont boot any faster and the comp slows down when i have 4-5 apps running the same as, or more so wen i had 256. have i just spent £90 to slow my iMac down!!!??

help!!

oh PS...this be my first post so be kind!!

where did you purchase the ram from?

Well im not quite sure what happened but i ran Xbench again and got a score of 78!! thats even faster than before the ram was installed which is what i was hoping for at the beginning!

The only thing i have changed is i updated to 10.3.2 so im assuming thats what sorted everything out. looks like apple has done there homework on that update so if you haven't got it update now!!

thanks
