I have a G5 1.8 on the way, and I was wondering if anyone can vouch for any PCI/PCI-X cards that work in the G5. Specifially, a USB/Firewire combo card if possible... I can't seem to find any in my research that don't cause 'deep sleep' problems. Any help would be great!

Miglia has the Alchemy TV G4/G5 'Silicon' version ready. You can watch and record TV on your Power Mac G5.

the card

It is very nice on my B&W G3, so go figure under a G5

I'm using an ATI Rage 128 in my G5. I had to install drivers, and it crashes on wake from sleep. So I don't have it sleep, which is annoying but not awful. But it does work, and perfectly.

It works great on a G5.

I am having trouble with the scheduling app, but I'm not willing to call it a bug yet as I haven't spent enough time working with it. So for now, it's 'user error.' But the card itself is superb.

I have an Adaptec 4 port USB 2.0 card that works just peachy in my Dual G5. Sleeps tight, etc.

Right now, I can set something to be recorded, but it won't actually record the show. I'm hoping to have time this weekend to mess around and see what I may be doing wrong, or find out if this is a bug in the software.

I set Televio to record the Battle of Britain (1969) movie on the tv, and Televio recorded it flawless.
