I have a 733 G4 quicksilver powermac and was wondering if I can use it to play a guitar with garage band. I'm asking because I don't see a audio in port on the back of the computer. There is a headset and a speaker. I don't think that I would be able to do it without getting something. I was thinking about a pci card that might have something for it. Anyone know what I have to do?

Just answered my own question. It figures, the quicksilver model only has audio in via usb, now I have to get an adapter so it will work with usb. Anyone know of a cheap adapter that will work good?

Looks good, thanks for the option. only 40 bucks, seems cheap enough. If anyone knows of something else let me know please. Thanks.

The iMic is about the cheapest one you can get.

If you wanted to go make your mac a great audio experience, get the Revolution 7.1 PCI card from M-Audio.

http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=...a955aa6ae2db1c

it's $119 but it has mic in and analog in plus has 7.1 output and is mac compat.

I've got an M-Audio MobilePre and it works great through USB... easier to use than PCI imo...

In case you haven't bought iLife yet...

Does your 733 G4 have a DVD drive? Garageband is on the DVD iLife disk and won't load unless you have a DVD drive.
