Hi all,

First of all, WOO HOO! New Dual 2.0ghz G5 on the way! Going from a 333mhz iMac to a G5, I cannot wait! Anyway, enough gloating, I also bought a CTX 17" LCD monitor from ClubMac for it (was out of money, could NOT afford the 17" Apple display), it only has an analog input, did I make a huge mistake? Also, do I need a special cable? I was led to believe that the G5 comes with the adapter I need to use someone else's monitor, is that true? Anyway, I am dying for this machine to arrive, true, the wife wasn't happy, but so what, I will be.

It comes with a VGA adapter; you'll be fine.

(We had to use this at work while we waited for Apple to ship our 20" Cinema Display… for a month )

I thought the same thing. All of the posts on these "supposed" G5 updates have become quite annoying.

Sorry about the confusion, I'm just so darn happy I can't stand myself (lot of that going around over here). I decided to go top of the line on the computer this time, and when they restocked the refurbs at the apple store, I jumped at them.
