I just tried it and with 640megs of RAM i wasn't impressed.

Anybody with any enhancements to make it smoother? All i can think of is getting a faster HD (7200rpm) or even more memory.

I've never played it on an eMac but I am assuming you have the latest version of the program? Was anything large running in the background?

Maybe try holding down Option key when launching and see what you can tinker and come up with.

I'd like to, someone bought it for my birthday but I cannot install it - I don't have os 9 on my imac anymore and the installer wants 9.

Any ideas? Aside rom re-installing 9

The installer should work in classic. Do you at least have that installed? If not, you be screwed.

Yes you do need classic, luckily you could use the system restore discs included with your computer. I don't mean reinstalling the OS, if you insert the cd there is a applications restore option, its where you can install Appleworks if it came with your system. Go there and you can install OS9 or classic.
